KiKaZz74 Posted February 21, 2016 Report Share Posted February 21, 2016 We are cleaning house here and getting stuff ready for a yard sale. i have some old school stereo gear that my father has given me. he doesnt know what it is worth and i honestly dont either. i am hoping you guys can help me out on pricing this stuff out for us to put in the yard sale. What i am needing info on -Bose Spatial Control Reciever -AIWA Stereo Cassette Deck R500 -Sony Tapecorder TC-399 I know for sure the Bose works as I used it for my room. the other two I am not sure on as I dont have anything to test them with or know how. i would assume they work though as my dad used it up until i was born for the most part. so if you guys can help me out that would be great. onto the pics. Is it worth doing new speakers in them? It's roughly $150/speaker to put all new speakers in them. Order from parts express. Sold something and they sent me the check didn't get a notice for 3 months and they sent my check for the full amount instead and taking their cut. Well long story short I owe like $40+ because they charged me interest on something I knew nothing about. Why they didn't take their percentage in the first place idk. They didn't say anything that I saw either about the fee. My fault I know but just gave me a bad experience. TRON Posted February 22, 2016 Report Share Posted February 22, 2016 I can tell you that the TC-399 is not worth anything. Its a 4 track stereo recorder which isn't what anybody wants if they are going to use tape. Also, without having the heads aligned, its a giant paper weight, not to mention the fact that its highest tape speed is 7.5ips which means its consumer level and nothing that anybody should pay good money for (you'd want at least 15ips).
