I don't think Kicker is crap, I think there may be better choices for the money sometimes. mcfalcon Posted February 22, 2016 Report Posted February 22, 2016 I'm with triticum. I have kicker in both our vehicles. They are good subs imo. Just for the price you could find something that would perform better. Before coming to this forum all I knew of was the mass produced subs such as kicker. Now I know there are companies that handbuild woofers with pride and performance in mind that are on a whole different level. Still learning but have started gathering.

Am I really missing out or are people just bandwagoning? You got hit by the upgrade bug, my only advise avoid listening to any system you can't afford.
jroo Posted February 22, 2016 Report Posted February 22, 2016 box is going to be key. Ive heard L7s and L5s sound good. I think some of the bash really started several years back when the went oversees. I still think the old round solobarics sound better, but you can make the new stuff sound good and play loud. From memory, they like larger boxes than spec from Kicker.
