OP, this is the PPI set that bilz and other member recommend. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_76162_Precision-Power-PPI-P65c3.html

The speakers that he is using in the picture he posted are Hybrid Audio Legatias. Just the 3" full range on his pillar costs a little more than the PPI component set.

Here is another 3-way set that some members have recommended in the past http://www.crutchfield.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/p_091165AS3/Focal-Performance-165AS3.html

You may have already answered this, but are you planning on running the 3-way set active or passive? Your last post makes it seem like active since you mentioned separate amplifiers for the mid and tweet on the pillar.

I was thinking active, but is there any pros or cons to using one over the other..? I mean I dont care to drop the money on an EQ but dont want to if I dont have to

You don't need an EQ for either, it's more personal preference if you feel you need to cut frequencies because they don't appeal to you or vice versa. With active, you get to choose the crossover points for each driver, vs having the crossover that comes with the component set that does all of the work for you. The crossovers can sometimes pick up noise from other things in the vehicle, but it's not a common occurrence from what I've seen. A pro for passive is all the work is done for you. It takes a lot of listening and adjusting to find the crossover points that sound good to you.

There are pros and cons to both sides. Do some googling and research, decide what's best for you at this time. Active requires more amplifiers/channels than passive does, so keep that in mind. You can always buy whatever component set you want and keep it passive for now and then later down the road when you're feeling confident and curious, grab some more full range amp and try out active.

Honestly, I've grown up my whole life hearing mids and highs are always gonna blow, no matter what. They'll become distorted within a year to six months and that's just how it goes. I go and drop the $$$ on those PPI and put their recommened RMS power to them, how long will they last. Because I've lived on the "Spend cheap enough that way when they blow you can just replace them, dont buy super cheap junk but nothing that will break the bank." Like thats what I've grown up on

Over powering and distortion are the only reasons a speaker should blow, assuming it was assembled correctly. Distortion doesn't only come from turning the HU volume or amp gain up too high. It's also the source that can cause it. songs can be just outright dirty and bad for speaker health.

But back to the point, buy the PPI set, run it passive, don't give more than rated, and make sure you're not clipping the signal with your head unit and your amp, and those speakers should have a long healthy life.

If you go active, you will need to know the RMS of each driver. the passive crossovers consume some of the power from the amplifier

So I think I'll go passive. But tell me this, how exactly are they tuned? Can you find out where they X-over? I just need to quit over thinking it I think.
