Here is an email response i got days ago from sundown customer service.

The SA18 needs a net volume of around 4-4.5cuft. per woofer.. They displace 0.26cuft. tuning should be around 32-35hz

*Thank You*

Thanks guys for all the help, looks like im just going to build a box below the window line with sub up /port up in the center of the box - 10 cuft net with 140 sqin of port. I'll throw some pictures up once i start building the box.

From my understanding subs forward port up works best in trucks if you aren't walling it.

Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born.

My penis is bigger than your penis

I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

ok here's the design i came up with.... subs forward/port up

10 cuft net with a 16.75" x 8.5" port 21" long tuned for 35 hz

(I will be doubling up the face and I have 1 cuft for internal bracing which i haven't drawn)

im new to sketch up so bear with my crappy drawing lol....any comments or changes I should make will be greatly appreciated.

I am digging the idea. I am kicking around what to do with the back seat of an f350 super duty and as much as I want to wall it I am leaning toward something along the lines of your build. I'll be watching...

Is this strictly for spl or would it sound good better with music this way?
