Jwills
Hey I have a 2003 Tiburon Gt, 1 18" FI BTL powered by 1 sundown SAZ-3000 and I was just wondering what would be the best sub and port placement for SPL. I heard that in a hatch you want the sub facing up and the port aimed at the back but idk. Just looking for some advise. Thanks

Jwills
The way my car is I'm not sure if the port will be able to "breath" that way. sub up, port back works well.
Decaf
he needs a minimum of 5cuft, not going to happen unless the port is up or forward without having the port inches away from the back... maybe with a 12" or 15" i did it in a eclipse and the lows are down right nastly sub up port forward
Boon
In my Corolla hatch it's loudest sub back port back. Load the sub off the back corner of the car, get it as far away from the meter as you can. You really just have to try heaps of things. My setup is loudest about 6" off the back of the car... move it 2" either way and I can lose a whole dB. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
mcj3000
Be careful what you put in the Tibby. I had 4 12 inch Alpine type R's and a fiberglass box in an 05 Tibby, and it busted the trunk latch on the inside, so my hatch wouldn't open. It did alot of other bad things to the car, like f***ed up the suspension, because the system was so freakin heavy. Dont think that car was meant to be loud, lol. Needless to say, I gave the car to the wife and bought an SUV. :hairtrick:
