Old school 10w6 v1

I came across a couple in a prefab box for free , minus having to do a foam repair. I would like to build a slotted port box. Either a dual or single design ( I can just mirror it and make it a single box) would be much appreciated. The prefab box sounds good....but I know it can be better.

I have tried about 5 different free box calculators online and even with all the specs from JL's manual it eventually gets to be too much and over my head.

Simple specs for a box and port from JL.Unfortunately I don't know what to do with that. I guess I would build a box with the proper cubic ft and port size and length. What I am having trouble with is knowing how to figure in the port space being figured into the box. I really don't want to make something incorrectly , and possibly ruin the subs, so I would appreciate some experience knowledge and advice. Thanks in Advance.

Two 10W6 woofers

Net Volume = 2.00 cubic foot
Area of Port Opening = 18.25 square inches
Effective Port Length = 23.375 inches

I am also looking for a third sub to run it as a trio as it was intended with it being a 6 ohm. So I'll probably be back to ask for help with that down the road,lol.

Sweet woofers from back in the days I had 3 10's sounded great even in s sealed box.you can still dig the manual up on these through jl.if you want factory spec box

I guess I should just make life easy and use their specs for an enclosure. I have a question/confusion on the round port length. It says 3" by 18.6". How do I set that in a box that is only 13.75" deep. I've recently gotten into proper system set ups. Always had a ride thumping but would just buy subs and enclosures from stores. It's a pretty fun hobby at the moment . Here's the link on the 10w6's specs.

The general rule is a minimum of one port diameter away.
