shayzonblue Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 I'm searching for the best 12" Sub and amplifier for my diy system. I've got a 4 cubic foot box tuned to 25 hz. I live in the Caribbean and I'm tryna get really low lows. I listen to a lot of dubstep ragga jungle drum and bass and have an epicenter for bass tuning
Allen Lancos Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 Pretty sure your not gonna get the answer you are looking for? Asking for what the best is isnt allowed. Your better off picking a brand of sub and amp and go from there! I'll do body filler all day every day, but this reinforced, fortified fucking kitty hair can kiss my balls.
Allen Lancos Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 Also there is more needed info. What kind of electrical system do you have? Alternator amp rating, extra batteries? What kind of power are you looking to run, 500watts, 1000, 2000, 5000, and so on. Most importantly, whats your budget? What do you have so far if anything? I'll do body filler all day every day, but this reinforced, fortified fucking kitty hair can kiss my balls.
Allen Lancos Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 By the way "in my opinion" looking at your music choice 25hz is way lower than what you will be happy with. I listen to a lot of dubstep trap and such, and my box is tuned to 35hz and even thats too low! Im going to report my box to low/mid 40's when i get time! I'll do body filler all day every day, but this reinforced, fortified fucking kitty hair can kiss my balls.
shayzonblue Posted April 11, 2016 Author Report Posted April 11, 2016 M getting a190 amp alternator. I was gonna buy the dc audio level3 sub's and the RMS is around 1k. I'm running 0gauge lbelva wiring and amp or amps will be around 1ohm. I've got an exceptional pioneer deh-4800mp head unit and using a bass12c subharmonic processor. 3 Redtop's optima batteries and fully DynaMatt interior I'm more worried about the amp needed. Budget is around $4k.
shayzonblue Posted April 11, 2016 Author Report Posted April 11, 2016 I've done the math and 25 hertz would allow my midbass midrange full range and highs to b next emely accurate because I love SQ and SPL perfectly balanced. Also to he honest I drive a car that doesn't have tons of space. Its my family car. Lol
ShadeTreeMechanic Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 Four cubes sounds big for a single 12. A pair of 12s or a single 15 might do better because if the box is too big then output will be lower. What frequency will you cross this over at to blend with the mid bass? 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 Is this a troll? $4k for one 12" sub and a 1k amp? Do you want them gold plated too? 4 cubes gross or net? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
