fuse question

hey

i am running a crescendo bc2000 and a nvx 4 channel amp , i have an agm under hood and agm in back.

agm is wired to trunk agm.

there is a terminal on the trunk agm and that sends 4g wire to a distribution block that splits 2 4g wires , one to 4chan and one to bc2000

was told bc2000 needs 0 gauge

so what i want to do is run a dedicated 0 g wire directly from trunk battery + post to the amp.

my question is.. what size fuse do i use to do this???? i have no idea. also the fuse goes on like 6 inches away from the + post of the battery once connected , right?

thank you

250 amp if you have the DC power. I'm not sure what batts and alt you have. If you have a dedicated 0 gauge run from front battery to back battery, you will only need to run a wire from the back battery to the amp.

i have 2 good quality agm batteries, one is odyssey and one is a motomaster ultra agm .. i have dedicated 0 from front to back.

and yes i need to run one small 3-4 feet run of 0 to amp, but just needed to know what size fuse i needed to place on that wire.. bc2000 uses 200amp fuses

but i was told i should fuse according to the power capacity of the wire and not the amp?

Fuse power cable runs according to the wire.

Fuse amps according to their current rating.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha
