I would like to upgrade the license plate lights while I'm at it. I am assuming the stock ones are halogen? 1.) If I went with LED or HID lights would I need to replace the entire wiring or do they make like an adapater kit? 2.) Should I just got with some look a like HID's if I am unable to replace the harness? Any info would be great, lighting newb and didn't know which section to post this in. Broke_Audio_Addict Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 The stock ones are incandescent, Leds will be fine and no you don't need a special wiring harness. You may however need canbus type bulbs. I don't even think there is such a thing as hid licence plate lights, and if there is there shouldn't be. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

But I just bought mine from a truck stop for like 8 bucks. 2003 GMC Yukon Denali Alpine CDA 117 Redoing Mids/Highs 4 Runs of 1/0 Knukonceptz 2+, 2- 4 Deka 9A31's in back (Stock underhood) 250 amp Alt.
