NoName
Building my first box, going to order materials soon. But is it even worth it? I don't know if I did the right job designing it, will it work?Main problem I had, I did not know if I calculated volume corretly, do I add or remove port from volume, did my program remove it for me. Really need someones proofing, so I would not just ruin materials..Thank you in advance for your help. Here is the box: Here is sub spec:
RooTxBeeR
I don't understand how you labeled the lengths of the box. In which direction are the sub and port facing from the box standing in the position it will be in your car? RooTxBeeR
I am still having a hard time figuring out what numbers are what, which is width, depth, height. From the rough estimate I did looks like the box you put together is just under 1cuft, tuned to 35hz with 14.5sqin of port area. ckeeler11
I came up with a box 13" high x 26" wide x 12.8" deep. port is 1.5" x 11.5" x 28" long. net of 1.3 tuned to 33 Hz. Am i close?? if so what amp you running? port might be to small.

ckeeler11
i would say most definitley the port is to small on 750 watts. need to open it up some more. What is model of sub?
NoName
Ok, so I finally made it, tested it and it sounds like disappointment :/ my 18L sealed is as loud as this box.Did rough recalculations on RE audio calc and it seemed pretty good: Did not add all the screws, wanted to get a listen to it and it turned out nothing like I aspected... Is there any way to improve on what I made?
audiofanaticz
first improvement would be to not use the RE audio app, it is very off. google torres box calculator or search for it on the forum here.
Mantvydas Strikauskis
To design it I used WINISD, to double check I used RE audio app.I am wondering if its posible to make it better from what I have got, I could play with the port since I did not glue it in before testing..
