White Lightning
The 10 to play 80 to 500 The 6.5 to play 500 to 5000 the tweet to play 5000 up I had a similar setup in my last build with an 8 and 2 6.5 in each door and it worked perfectly Now I'm curious ... if you don't think it will work let me know why... I'm still open... When a guy like me reads "big front STAGE" ... I'm expecting more ??? Well, just more ... and not meaning multiple drivers cancelling each other out just to "get loud" You can do more with less, no matter the sub stage. To me, 6.5" drivers are not considered midrange no matter what the specs say. Too much cone area. Leave the midrange and tweets for the dash to build a STAGE. Then again, this is just my suggestion. zayres29
If the crossover is setup properly there shouldn't be any cancelation right? Again I'm just basing this setup off of what I know worked in the past my last setup was 4 6.5 total and 2 8s with 4 1.125 tweets in he dash all equipment was dayton audio classic series the 6.5 and tweets were on about 50 watts each and the 8s were on about 100 each and it was one of the best sounding front stages I have ever heard not in terms of pure loudness but it was so clear and had a really great response the crossover points were what I stated before Btw that was the first person. zayres29
It will be a while before I'll actually have playing doors ... wife is in the middle of changing jobs and I'm hopefully about to start working for myself but it will pay off in the long run Btw that was the first person. zayres29
this is about as far as i got with the door before i realized that the bottom of the speaker pod hit the floor when i tried to shut the door during the test fit so im going through a major reevaluation as far as my front stage goes tossing around the idea of running some 6.5" full range drivers and doing away with the 3 way setup all together i still dont know yet Btw that was the first person. ShadeTreeMechanic
Maybe you could bump the face of the pod up a little to clear? 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
zayres29
i did that and it worked fine but it was a getting close to the door handle i can make it work but then i looked at where the rear 6.5 would be and it is being blocked by the seat... im not 100% happy with it so im just going to design something else Btw that was the first person.
