Beginner needs help trying to design a box

So I've been trying to come up with a slotted box design for my two skar vvx12v3's. I'm not sure if I'm overthinking my first box but it's very intimidating and I really could use some help coming up with a design. I have two skar vvx12v3s and my trunk space is 35x17.5x18 and I already have a sheet of 3/4 inch MDF. I'll be using a SQ 1200 for now in the trunk of a 2002 Honda Accord

So just a couple of questions i guess you want sub rear port rear and from your dimensions the width is 35 and out of the other two dimensions ( 17.5 and 18 ) which one is height and which one is depth

if the box is made to these dimensions, will it slide in through the trunk opening. That is an important thing to look at too. Just because it will fit IN the trunk, doesnt mean you can get it in the trunk is all. Make 110% sure.

+1 on what chevyboy wrote its best to make a template from cardboard to make sure you can fit the box in the trunk.

We've all been there. Hopefully it'll all come out as planned and you'll be satisfied. Worse case scenario, you'll have to redesign/remake your box. Luckily the wood is usually the cheaper part of the build.

I'm not too sure but a guy on YouTube had a 15 with a box of those specs. My back seats do fold down so that's always an option

Right i will have a look on Torres tonight for you as i have the dimensions and check your space out as you might not have enough room but will check that when i get home from work.

Best i could do using your dimensions was 3.8 net with 64" of port area tuned to 36. i don't have WinISD to see if that will work with your subs or not but the port area seems pretty low to me.

To get a reasonable amount of port area and tuning you need more space.

Port Length : 21"

Tuning Frequency : 33 Hz

Mounting Depth : 7.25"

Cut-Out Diameter : 11.25"

Magnet Diameter : 7.13"

Subwoofer Displacement : 0.17 ft^3

That's the spec that Skar recommend for 1 sub so wouldn't 64'' of port area be OK as you only need 48'' of port area but they also recommend 4.50 cuft for both subs box so like ckeeler11 says you need more space really to make it work.
