Custom interior work

Recommended Posts

I just bought a 1997 Ford F-150 xlt extended cab 3 door. I have a new born and can't use my back seat. I want to try to stay away from using the bed if possible. I do a lot of hauling. My front seat is the driver and then a passenger with a middle seat. I was thinking on taking that out and finding just a passenger seat with no middle seat attached. That way I will have a gap between driver and passenger seat that I am hoping will be big enough to put a custom built sub box. My question is does anyone know if 2 kicker dcvr 12" subs would fit there in a ported box? I have had these subs since 2010. Still meter 2 ohms so I don't want to change them out. they sound good and can get loud/low. So, does anyone have any ideas that could help me with this? Maybe some ideas on how to build a box also? I have never built a custom box like this before. So, help with that would be nice. Thanks for any info.

There is room under the back seat. That would be last option. Plus, my current subs would not fit. Some shallows might. I will try to get some sort of measurements when I get home tonight. I have a Marine function tonight.
