2005 Chevy Tahoe 2 Team AA 18s Cpillar 4th Order 10k

Recommended Posts

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you guys had a good day with your families. I got some work done on the truck on Christmas Eve night. Obviously that baffle flex from the above video needed to be addressed. I knew this would happen with the weak ass screws I decided to use but my impatience got the best of me. Obviously I'm not going to throw the other 5k on with a flexing baffle so that was the next step. The baffle will now be held in by 6" x 1/2" carriage bolts with the angle iron.

Got the port, loading wall, and some angle iron out again.

Getting the subs unloaded and unwired. Was much easier unloading them, then loading them lmao.

Subs unloaded

One thing I was kind of concerned about was the surrounds rubbing since I did my cuts with a jigsaw and they were by no means perfect. Luckily though the surrounds were not rubbing the subs were just a bit dusty lmfao.

Got all the baffles out. Also decided to take both seats out this time around so it's a bit easier to move around while working back there.

That's where I'm at right now with the build. I picked up some more angle iron and the carriage bolts Saturday. So I'll be bolting in the baffle in the box in the next few days. Then I will seal everything with foil tape temporarily again for more testing. Once the baffle is in and secure with no flex I will throw the second 5k in and get you guys some Termlab scores.

Drilling some 1/2" holes in the angle iron for some carriage bolts.

Getting the back top and bottom piece of angle iron screwed in with some nice think coarse thread screws.

Got the quad layer baffle which is now glued together in place and started drilling holes for the carriage bolts.

Got the carriage bolts in and bolted down nice and tight. Getting these carriage bolts to line up was much harder than I anticipated it to be. Next time I'm going to drill the holes after the fact with a longer bit. Anyway it's nice and secure now and there are some thick screws holding the angle iron onto the floor also.

Now I just need to get the top front piece of angle iron screwed in. Then just drill holes for the carriage bolts and I'll be ready to mount the subs again.

Second Build: 1 Team AA 18 on 1 Ampere 5k @ .5

The DCs treated me very well and I loved every minute I had with them but they had to go for bigger

and better things. Met a very nice basshead from Texas at a lake in New Mexico and sold the DCs and ordered one Team AA 18.

The Tahoe all nice and dirty. Had fun at the lake and sold my subs, was a good day lol.

Shit it know that low as lake... Elephant Butte..

Where are you from? Albq?

Im from Las Cruces. Good to see another New Mexican in here

Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born.

My penis is bigger than your penis

I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.
