Made lots of progress with the car and the scores but have had some big setbacks this week. Engine developed a rod knock and is trash. Have to do a motor swap before the show next weekend so I will be doing that this week.

As for the scores...its starting to get kinda loud. All sealed scores an power times 2.

First competition of the year and things went pretty good! Took home first! Next goal is to break into the 151s on 2k.

yeah that helps a lot! How big is that box and how long is that port Ray? did you ever tested different port lenghts? i would get a "bigass port" and try different lenght

Im using the 8" big ass adjustable port. Box is about 3.4 cubes before displacement. I want to try inverting subs for low power scores and see it bigger box helps that. Higher power I might try shrinking unless it likes being inverted.

have you tried shrinking the box even more without actually messing with it? i just added you on facebook, my name is Javier Duque, take a look at a video i uploaded on october 3rd, you´ll see a 143.76 dbs score on the termlab once you open the videos album, is on the second last row, anyways, i use soda bottles filled with water in order to shrink the box in only a few seconds and test many different box sizes and see how the power and score changes without messing the box.

I plan to do something like that. One person suggested using those plastic frozen ice packs. I plan to shrink the box down some and see how it reacts. Also want to try doing a slightly bigger one and see if it gains on lower power or see if inverting subs help. Lots of testing as you know!
