My equipment list so far. This is a budget build!!

Head unit: Kenwood kdc 248u

Amplifier: Soundstream PN1.650d

Subwoofer: Re audio Scx 10d4v2

Custom enclosure 1.72cubes tuned around 32.8 hz

4 gauge amp kit from my buddies old build

Future upgrades in February for my bday present will consist of (4) 6.5's and 2 tweets to replace factory speakers. As well as a 4 channel amp

So far I had the head unit already.

purchased the sub amp and sub for under 200 shipped.

Wood for box was recycled from my buddies old setup.

Looking to spend about 200 for February upgrades as well.

Been looking at the fosgate prime 400x4

And the prime components for front stage. And some prime coax for rear 6.5's.

Should be around a 500 dollar budget build when complete.

Down the road will get an xs power battery and maybe a beefier alternator to be safe

Thanks for tuning in

Save money : don't use rear speakers, just use better ones upfront !
You'll need a smaller amplifier(2 channels). Use the budget for sound deadening, for the front doors.

Don't even think about an HO alternator for now ! The big3, and later a better battery will do the trick.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Tuned in for pics.

black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp

OEM head unit, Amplifiers Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200.

Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats.

2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3  ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.

Didnt get much much done in the last 2 days.  since I'm using the mdf from my buddies previous setup, I had to fill a lot of holes from everywhere he screwed the box together. From port and what not.  Was going to get fresh wood, but decided to show my 4 year old daughter how to fill the holes. Used a combination of the mdf dust and titebond to form a paste. Going to let it dry sand it tomorrow. Then start putting box together. My sub should be delivered on the 3rd since ups doesn't deliver the day after New Years. So it'll be perfect time to let box dry before I install sub for test bump. stay tuned!!!
