Schumacher and Duracell group 31 battery

i never charge my batteries. ok, maybe once in a blue moon. if my resting voltage is above 12.6 i dont care. if you compete and are looking for that .1db go ahead. most every bettery will last 5 years if your alt is working. thats just me.

Lights up) and then it assesses where your battery is at. If it needs it, it will start the process. If not, it gives it a float charge until you take the charger off of the battery.

It say it detect if it has to be desulphated and desulphated it. Idk how it knows.

Maybe what you're using doesn't have a trickle/float charge mode. Not all chargers are created equal.
