joshuaV Posted April 16, 2017 Report Posted April 16, 2017 Hello, I have 2 15" Pyle PLPW15D in a box that has 12 Cubic FT after displacement and bracing. I currently have 2 sets of AERO PORTS that I have made to try and found that the bigger sized ones are louder. Aero Port set 1: (2) 8" diameter and 20" long Aero Port Set 2: (2) 4" Diameter and 12" long Can someone please help me to try to find the best port diameter/length to use these to the best to be tuned to about 30 Hz? Lower velocity is better, but larger area ports have to be longer to keep tuning the same. The trick is finding a balance between keeping port velocities low and keeping the port a size that will fit in the space you have to work with. Port velocity is a function of box volume, tuning frequency, input power, and port area. What amp are you running and what frequency do you want to tune to? I ran 4 of them in my truck sealed a few years ago.
