Casper Netherlands
Hi there So I did my big three upgrade. Sky high 0 gauge ofc wire, and I am using copper lugs from Sky high, as for terminals. In terms of corrosion, and connectivity, Is it safe to connect copper to metal? ShadeTreeMechanic
Not sure what your question is. Copper is a type of metal. Do you mean copper to steel or zinc or lead? 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
Casper Netherlands
Sorry, steel I guess, I meant to the body frame of the car, and alternator bolts?
rocking.that.eclipse
Yea if you are going to frame sand where you are going to then connect. When you are done put some kind of spray paint over it to cover up the connection to make sure there isn't any chance of corrusion '
Casper Netherlands
Thanks man. I am going to install the second battery, so I needed some advice for ground, as my last amp got fried on the negative terminal, I guess the contact to the body frame wasn't solid. This time, I ran sky high 0 gauge from the starting battery to the secondary batt on the trunk, and ground the second batt to the body frame of the trunk. I got 2, 300 amp fuses, close to each positive terminal of the two batteries, and two fuse distribution blocks (150amp - 0 to 2 4 gauge) for my amplifiers, I'll connect the negative of the distribution block, directly to the battery. Does that seems ok to you?
