Fennygolf Posted September 3, 2017 Report Share Posted September 3, 2017 So I build my encloser have 2 DC audio xl m1 15s the encloser is around 6.26 cubes and from the math I did which is probably wrong I put in 6 2inch long 1-1\2 diameter PVC pipes and I thought my tuning came out to 31-32hz but for some reason is only wanting to play from around 40hz and up can't figure out why anyone have any ideas or did I do my math wrong please help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

On that amount of power one 10" diameter port would work very well. Or you could use three 6" ports, the single 10" would preferred though. Two 8" ports would also work, but they are a bit bigger than you need and would have to be pretty long. Or you could use a slot port of at least 85 sq in. I ask because if you put the ports inside the box they are going to take up significant internal box space, which will affect the tuning frequency.
