Is it possible to tell the difference between a dual coil 1 or 2 ohm subwoofer from the outside?

I'm thinking about buying a pretty good RE subwoofer. Specifically the RE MX12v2 subwoofer. Problem is: The seller cannot tell me for sure whether it's the D1 or D2 model (dual coil 1 ohm or dual coil 2 ohm).

Without grabbing a multimeter, is it possible to tell the difference on the outside? I assume I would have to open the subwoofer, count the amount of coil rounds (or whatever) and then calculate the impedance that way (which isn't going to happen for obvious reasons).

Other than seeing the actual "MX12v2D1" or "MX12v2D2" on the subwoofer, is it possible to see it in another way?

A multimeter is less than 20 bucks at walmart. Just get one. Useful tool.

exactly. buy the multimeter, go check it out to see if it's what you want, and keep the multimeter for allllll of the other things you can use it for. personally, if the seller can't tell me everything I need to know spec-wise about something he's selling, i'll pass.....
