I try not to be the douchebag jamming to jeezy saying fuck every other word next to the geriatrics next to me, or by a church bus. I only turn it up in parking lots and what not when I am all the way at the back when I am showing off to someone. Hence we have the 25 ft laws now. I love bass too, but when some asshole pulls into my apartments blaring their shit @ 3:00 when I have to be at work at 6:00 I tend to get pissed off. I am all about listening to your music as loud as you want to, but I also consider that everyone doesn't want to hear your music. I wont hesitate to crank my shit up in traffic to shut some kiddie down who is bumping his BB, or CC system in traffic for a long time.
