LSN2meBoom916
Changing the phase settin DOES NOT (obviously) change how they're mounted-it does reverse the signal they are getting 180 degrees. so pos = neg and vice versa. And if the music says "pushed out" the sub will be "sucked in" = reversed of normal phase... Any help? bigarsenal
yea a little so your saying since i got it on reverse that instead of pushing out they suck in when they are suppose to push out and suck in when they are suppose push out sorry :-[ Quote Subs- 2AA Arsenal 15sAmps- Orion2500d/MemphisDoors- Infinity kapa/AA polymids(soon)Deck- Pioneer PrimerBox- 3.5 per chamber!!!!!!!!/28hzElectrical- two optima red tops/160alt(big 3 soon)OHIO BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LSN2meBoom916
Yup. BUT!... as long as they do it at the same time as each other they will be ok on output but maybe out of phase w/ ur mids. As long as the wiring is normal on ur mids, and ur subs are not inverted, normal phase (0 degrees) should be best. however-If it sounds beteer a diff. way do THAT for sure Maybe you have a ghost! emperorjj1
lol one quick question... if i have an inversted sub (i dont just wanting info) and i wire it out of phase (switch pos and neg) does the ohm level stay the same? and if it does why wouldnt it change (dvc subs) Quote J. ChevyBoy
lol one quick question... if i have an inversted sub (i dont just wanting info) and i wire it out of phase (switch pos and neg) does the ohm level stay the same? and if it does why wouldnt it change (dvc subs) i dont think it would change only because a dual 2 ohm sub, is a dual 2 ohm sub unless you change the voice coils out. emperorjj1
true but a dual 2 ohm sub wired in series is a single 4 ohm load... switching pos and neg seems like it might mess something up im my head... unless im thinking about the wrong wires. ChevyBoy
just check it on my sub. reguardless of the wiring to a dmm, its the same either way.
LSN2meBoom916
well... If you change polarity on ONE coil only...on a DVC sub you WILL be changing the way THAT sub is hooked up AND any others hooked to it whether series or parallel. If you have 1 sub in the whole system...and you change ALL coils polarity (+/-, -/+) wether it's 1, 2, or even 4 coils, as long as you swap them ALL (as many coils as that sub has) the ohm level will be the same...it may THEN be out of phase w/ other components in the system, but the ohms/resistence will be the same. a 4 ohm coil is a 4ohm coil whether it is wired +pos to pos+ and -neg to -neg or vice versa...it's only when you run woofers TOGETHER and change one or more voice coils, that will chnage the resistance TOTAL at amp. Make sense? maybe? emperorjj1
oh so you change all the wires... makes sense. lol i was thinking you only change one for some odd reason Quote J.
