SpydreX
I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L and am trying to find a spot for a second alternator. When I went to the Sundown show last year I saw a few people put a second alternator where their A/C compressor goes but what I'd really like to do is keep my A/C compressor and add a second alternator without having to get rid of the A/C. I am going to be building my first wall this year hopefully before the end of summer and am hoping to push past 10,000 watts. My current alternator is a 300 amp singer alt so I would think adding a second 300 amp alt should do the trick. Anyone ever do this mod and know if their is any prefab brackets? If none avalible does anyone know of any CAD drawings that I can go off of to get one made myself?
WalledSonic
Check with all the alternator manufacturers for brackets. They usually have bracket options depending on what theyve got their hands on in the past. Singer, US Alt, DC Power, Mechman, etc. Check the build logs here on SMD and FB also Chevy Sonic Wall (4) 15's on 10k Build Log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/209412-2015-chevy-sonicwall4-15s10klithiumlarge-case-hairpin-us-alts/ (4) Fi SP4 15's | (2) Ampere 5Ks | Active! | Arc KS600.2 & KS125.2mini | CDT Silk Domes | Silver Flute 8s | 240Ah JY | US Alts Jeep Wrangler JK (4) 8's in a 4th Order Build Log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/209841-shadow-2016-jeep-wrangler-jk4th-order4-8sdc-35klarge-case-hairpin-us-alts/ IG @walledsonic
