Its time to refresh this build log!  Been a busy summer with Slam, Heatwave, Photobucket took a sh*t, sold my other car, etc etc.

Mid & High amps are Class H analog amps from Arc Audio

Relayed fuse panel for auxiliary components like amp remote turnons, fans, lights, etc

Also made some wood door pods that are sealed up to the doors.  They BARELY fit between the door, the glove box, and the seat.  Such a tight fit

But then the windshield started chipping out from the flex

A neighbor has a body shop and hooked it up by rewelding the thin sheet metal at the windshield pinch seam

I didnt know how strong it would end up, so I asked him to leave it in primer in case I have to reweld it later.

Around this time, I bought a welder and learned to weld so that I could build a stripper pole to stop the windshield from flexing

Had it powdercoated by some cool guys at Advanced Powdercoat in Houston

Thats my daily driver right there!

More recently, I started work on sealing off the box.  I used cardboard as a template and then traced it to wood (wood not yet shown)

More to come on that task, as I'm pulling the subs very soon for a major overhaul.

Got some fans to beat that Texas heat.  That 6K does pretty good, but it really deserves a fan since its in the trunk.

I was getting some alt noise, so I ran a ground wire from the alt to the rear battery bank.  The entire battery bank (under hood and in the trunk) is grounded in the rear.

But while I was under the car, I decided to design an alternator bracket to allow a large case hairpin to fit in my engine bay.

I decided my impedance rise was causing uneven output across my playing range, but my options with a single amp were to wire down to 0.8ohm (which is how I've run it for the last 8ish months) or wire down to 0.2ohm, which is clearly a bad idea.  I bought an IM-SG and tested the impedance curves of each

But then one morning I had the idea that I should run two amps wired down at 0.4ohm (ish).  So I used my previous data to calculate theoretical impedance rise if I was wired to 0.4ohm nominal

Looks good.  I'll probably test out at 0.5 or 0.6ohm once rise is accounted for.  So I found a buyer for the 6K.  Dont mind the sloppy red wiring, I was doing some preliminary testing with some really cool green boxes
