Lets Talk About Vintage Car Audio

Recommended Posts

Ahh...the good ol' days....Growing up in Daytona Beach spoiled me on systems...man those were some good days. Like Micheal said, EVERYONE had a wall and 10+ subs..and they played MUSIC all day long and used MUSIC to compete.... I still have my Soundstream Class A Picasso and Class A 10.0 that I bought brand new in 94 when I got my learners permit ....Still running strong till this day in my daily driver.

A half-wit gave you a piece of his mind, and you held on to it.

The glass mount tweeters literately glue to your windows and puts electricity threw your glass. Your glass inturn flawlessly reproduces the High end part of your music. All off of a 35 watt watt amp. Back in the day we were buying them for 150 bucks.

haha...i had forgotten about those but i know exactly what you're talking about. I will have to see if i can find them in one of my magazines. Damn...i need a scanner.

Cant leave out Savard, wasnt a huge fan of their subs in general but man some of their preloaded enclosures were pretty badass for the time. My first amp was an LA sound, still have that lil bastard and last I tried it worked. Think that was 1993ish? I remember pyle drivers being something to brag about and walmart sparkomatic and craig :)

And Orion up until about 1993 was the greatest car audio company EVER. lol

Man I graduated back in '94. I installed my first system my Senior summer a pair 4" and a two-knob. LOL by the end of my senior year i Had a Power Akoustik pullout, some Pansonic 6x9's and a pair of flea market 8" pyramids. Joey's picked up a pair of M&M Godfather 10"s. Man trying to figure out how to wire up his Sherwood amp for the first time was hilarious. Good Times.

We're projecting for next Autorama to bring out our old school cars. Alpine brought his out this past year. Joey, Bill and I hopefully will have ours out. I'm gonna do an old school car with old school equipment. Gonna bring out my RF transana amps :D
