The Type Of Emails I Get....been Metered On The Termlab? Read.

Ok i get lots of love for my installs which is cool but i also get messages and emails ALL the time where some joker claims anywhere from the same to even 20db louder then my tahoe or the Caddy with "$800" spent (etc). Just got one today. Never competed, doesnt know anything about the termlab, but wants to bet me $10,000 he is louder.

Read this email and tell me what you think, but only if you have been on the termlab meter. This is for people that know, not the "dont-knows" LOL.

Hey bud sorry it took so long to get back to you, i have been out of town. Anyways i have been getting into competition sound for the last 6 months and i decided to try to build my own spl car, no competitions yet but i think i just might have one of the hardest hitting cars in cali. now it's not complete yet because i have alot of reinforcing to do in the car because the system has really blew it apart so far but i do have a little knowledge about lab mics and the one we are using to test the sound is a Audio Controll Sa3055 setup and i think it is pretty accurate. Now don't get me wrong at all, you have in my eyes the best built vehicles in spl, my car doesn't have the eye appeal yours do and doesn't have half the components i need but i am running 3 component focal utopia sets that cost me $12,000 alone but as far as the subs I am pushing 6 15 inch orion h2 subwoofers w/6 orion hcca 5000 watt amps. now i have 2 amps running to the mids and highs but nothing to boast about. i can say the audio controll meter read out to 172 which i think thats accurate, but we will see when the car is complete and i start hitting the spl comps, \the system literally blew out every window in the car so now i am reinforcing them and using 3/8 plexi rather than glass. No pics yet nor videos but i will for sure get on that asap. i just didn't want to put out anything until i was done. neways i hope to maybe meet up with you soon and possibly make that wager. Are there going to be any SPL comps up north that i may compete in or we could always just meet up for the hell of it. I would surely appreciate any info on the spl comps so i could get established and get my name out there. Thanks!

now without knowing anything else about this guy, what do you think? I personally have NEVER met anyone who has never competed (and doesnt know anyone who competes) that could even do a 152 let alone a 172 I would say for most people that THINK they are hittin hard and compete for the first time, a 142 is about average (if they are LOUD). A 145 would be REAL loud for a first timer on a termlab. 172? Anyway i just wanted to share with you guys the type of shit i get to deal with by doing what i do haha

i got a guy who sent a youtube message to me talkin about his 158 with Two rockford P1 12's and a 1400 watt amp........whens it gonna stop!!

sorry i had to start this thread ONLY because when your living in a termlab world and you go out into the land of youtube, your like a fish out of the pond with the dont-knows.....you cant even argue with someone who says they can do a 172 because hey, they saw it on the meter (whatever shit meter it was) so it must be true.

id love to blow a 190 on one of those same meters and shut these fools the hell up
