Jfisher
Truck....17’ Ram Crew Head Unit ....Kenwood DDX Amp .....JL Audio XD 1000/5 Rear Speakers.... Focal Focal Integration ISC 690 6x9 Front Speakers ......Focal 5 1/4 Components Focal PS 130V1 Complaint is that the Focals just dont sound that clear. Ive tried everything I can think of even had a local shop take a look yesterday. They sound “okay” not majorly bad or anything. Just a little muddy and very lacking in midbass response. Do I need different speakers? Do I need a different amp? Maybe upgrade to the JL audio HD 900/5? I guess I just expected more from the Focal brand. Now I am considering upgrading to hertz 6 x 9’s front and rear to get where I want to be. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wishuponasub
Do you have physical crossovers in between the mids and highs or are they controlled by separate amplifiers? Passive is the physical crossovers..... Now I don't mean to sound rude but go prep your doors and then report back to us. Look up videos on how to do it properly and either do it or have it done. I think it will make a world of difference for you.
