2006 F-150 Alternator

ok, so i need some help finding an alt for my 2006 F-150.

i cant find on and its gonna slow me down on the build for the 18 and i was just wanting to know if the alts for the 2003 will fit the position on the 2006.

4.6 liter engine.

the alt is on the very front of the engine. pretty much dead center towards the top.

you do know it says 93 instead of 06

Your 2006 has a 6G alternator. The 2003's had a 3G alternator. The mounting bolts are the same, but the regulator plug on your truck will not fit the 3G (or 4G) alternator.

so theres no possible way to get one?

maybe i could buy another 130 amp and run both of those for 260 amps total?

get the missinglink module for the G6 alt, it may not need a HO right now.

you must be joking.

i had a 20 amp alt, 1/0 in big 3 with over 5000 strand count, and a run of 1/0 to a HC2400 in the back of the silverado and voltage still dropped to around 12.01

i wanna run 14.4 - 14.8 during bass notes ;)

like i said, i doubt that was a full 200 amps.

edit: and if you kept it at 2k rpm, it would never drop that low.

heh, im running more power then you were too.

even at 2000 RPM it still dropped.
