Guest Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 My friend has this 10" old school Kicker CVR with the black, flat, concave cone. Last time i saw it, which was about a week before he swapped it out for his current system, it was pretty damn stiff and it looked like it just came out of the box. No scratches or tears whatsoever. He said i could buy the sub itself for $45 or with a sealed pre-fab for $55. Which should i go with, since making a box would take more than $10 im thinking of just getting the combo. And can someone find me some specs and pics for the sub? Thank you very mucho Quote
ISO Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 (edited) http://www.kicker.com/06/tech-support/manu...als/CVRdMan.pdf If these are the ones cut the power handling by half. it says 300 watts don't put more than 150 watts. 300 is what it can take thermally. If its the newer version they will handle 300 apiece. I have a lot of experience with these. Guest Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 (edited) that looks like it. on another site it says 300rms 600 max and in the manual it says 300max..... http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Kicker-C10D Edited May 8, 2008 by Krannyman92 Quote
Charger Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 If it's the black cone with orange around the logo they aren't half bad woofers. I used one at my last comp for fun 137dB on Termlab with 25wrms, not bad for one 10" sub. Guest Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 it looks 90% from what i remember to this http://cgi.ebay.com/Kicker-Competition-10-...1QQcmdZViewItem Quote
ISO Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 They should look like this. Except they say COMPVR instead of competition. I beg you not to put 300 real watts through these unless Polecat tells you otherwise. Quote Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one. ISO Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 Polecat is one of the main guys from Kicker and is the MOD in the Kicker section on this forum. If you placed this in the Kicker section he will read it eventully and post his answer. See if a Mod would be willing to move it to the Kicker section but I don't know how to ask a Mod.
