All Night Long
The powermaster d3100 will be more than enough for the 3000d, and a high amp alt isn't extremely necessary. There are a few guys here in Ohio running the 3000's on stock alts and they are putting out some serious power just fine. The battery is what is going to help out the most. I had two hifonics thor's running off of two kinetik 2400's and a stock alt in a chevy blazer and they draw way more current than a single sundown 3000d. The alt will help the situation if you don't ever plan on putting your batts on a battery charger, but if you are not beating down the system all day everyday a strong batt upgrade will be sufficient. Unless you have the extra $300-400 to spend then go for a high output and it will help to keep the voltage regulated and also get rid of that annoying light dim. sundownz
Quick question. It's not listed on the site, but what is recommended for the 1500D? Most stock systems with a healthy battery, an alternator of 100+ amps, and the big 3 are fine for the 1500D @ 1 ohm. - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
