audiofanaticz Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 the d3100s should stay charged, and shouldnt go dead as long as there is no current draw. Your alternator should be enough to keep that many and a few more charged while running. I think it takes about 10 amps per battery from the alternator to charge a battery. Although I would get rid of the non gel cell/agm battery under the hood, that battery will weaken your battery power and will start to drain, leaving whatever batteries you got to keep the battery under the hood charged.
mrwigglezdj Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 yea you should have no problem, now if you live in the cold areas (summer time now so it doesnt matter) you might run into a snag where you might need a bat. maintainer. go with the 3100 they will work great and you should be very happy with them and your amps will love you as well Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets
roscoe1129 Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 One other thing to consider is an alarm/remote start with a battery voltage sensor that will start the car if the voltage drops to low.
