Max dimensions are 49" wide, 26" tall and about 36" depth. Here's what I came up with, subs up port facing back. 25" tall, 48" wide, 36" depth. That gives me 21 cubes before displacement with a double baffle on the top where the subs mount. Port: 6" tall, 42" wide, 25" length/depth. Now could I go further with the port to lower the tuning? I think I read that the end of the port should be at least 10" away from the back wall of the box. So 25" long leaves me 11" since the box has a depth of 36". This is 15.5" port area per foot according to torres box calc, and gives me a total of 252in^3 of port area with a tuning of 31.9hz. Is this enough port for 4 15s? After port/sub displacement and the displacement for the double baffle, i have a net volume of 16 cubes according to torres. so about 4 cubes per sub after displacement. Does this seem like a pretty good rough draft for this box? Anyone have any better ideas?

But yeah, that’s a solid rough draft. I would go a little bigger and since the port is 6” tall, I’m figuring the port is on the bottom. Make sure it’s 6” away from the rear hatch door. That’s all the room you need between the port and hatch. That’s optimal for SPL and it won’t conflict. More flex and bounce and still maintaining a good air flow. The ports gonna be facing towards the back, correct? Or facing the front towards you? Face the port back. bismofunyuns Posted May 3, 2020 Author Report Posted May 3, 2020 Okay so I believe I’m going to run a dc 9k. As of now, that’s the amp I’ll be saving for. As far as running 9k rms, is a double baffle on the top where the subs are enough without internal bracing? Will build the box with titebond 2 or 3, and using screws as well. And using caulk to seal the corners. .75” mdf, unless there’s another wood that’s better. What about using birch?
