SGT_76 Posted May 10, 2020 Report Posted May 10, 2020 Looking at other lifepo4 options since the 38120hp's are getting harder to find at a good price. I'm still learning but dont we need higher "C rates"?
SGT_76 Posted May 11, 2020 Author Report Posted May 11, 2020 Lol, no opinions on these? I know with the smaller cells like the 38120's being 8ah, them having the higher C-rates (10 & 25) makes them good for us. With these being larger 240ah, wouldn't their C-rates of 1 & 2 still make them a viable option for us? Or am I wrong?
bmwking Posted May 11, 2020 Report Posted May 11, 2020 yeah we need C rates of 10 or higher to be useful for car audio demands. these would be better suited for energy storage

Well hell, I was hoping their charge rate of 240a, and Max discharge rate of 360a, would've still worked even with the reduced C-rating. I'm trying to get a grasp of the whole "C-rating" thing. Obviously with little success lol.
AaronT Posted May 13, 2020 Report Posted May 13, 2020 Same thing I was told by my Lithium guy, when I asked about the same type of battery.
