Is this enough port area?

At least tuning frequency and box net volume are also involved in port area determination, also in the rare case you use damping for your box, port area requirements are different.

The box volume is 3.50 cf gross tuned to 35 hz with no dampening.  The two subs are .16 per sub.

50 square inches of slot port for two dc sounds lvl 4 12's on 3000 watts split between the two.

I asked my brother who used to be sponsored by dc audio and he said 50 isnt enough port  area but i asked him if 75 would be enough and he said yes so thats what im going with.

This goes right along with Triticum Agricolam's   port calculations since im essentially at 3.00 cf (3.11 after all displacements).  From my calculations that should put me at about 21ms air velocity.

Using 3 cubic feet as net volume you get 25.3 m/s on those conditions, so yes 50 square inches of port area is enough and 75 won't hurt you at all.

Are you saying 25.3 with 50 square inches?  if so thats great because i needed to shrink down to get it in my trunk.

Correct, round the inner edges of the port and keep port area ratio below 6:1 and you are good with 50 square inches.
