Fiberglass Btl Box

Recommended Posts

Resin won't add nearly as much strength as wetted chop mat.

If you have "puddles" of resin inside the box, just take some chopp mat and tear it apart into "fluff" and use it to soak up the resin, tapping ou t all the trapped air.

It will make ur box teh strongnesss.

lookin good still.

working on the inside now so the baffle doesnt seperate. i got 5 layers on the front gonna add 2 more on the back then work on the corners. i just gotta wait till i get paid to buy 1 more gallon of resin, another pack of chopmat, a gallon of boddy filler and some sand paper oh and probably a sander cause this pumpin' away with a block has gotten old. i still have to figure the volume out and figure out how to tune this bish. the sides need about 4 layers yet.

any help on figuring the volume and tuning with round ports? im going for 32hzish with 4" ports.

I use "lightly packed" styrofoam packing peanuts to get the volume of irregular shaped boxes.

Not to sound like a horn tooting broken record, but if you look on page 2-it shows what I'm talkin bout w/ pics n all.

You could use anything that will "fill" the irregular shape (sand/water/bb's/etc) and then just transfer them to a REGULAR shape like a rectangular prizm/cube/etc and just calculate the volume as usual (LxWxH...in inches...divided by 1728=cft)

If that's still unclear, LMK.
