AlpineGuy87
I got me a 2006 scion tc. I want to swap out those factory speakers. I want some recommendations from my knowledgeful SMD friends here. This is what im looking for: - Highs that can go loud and stay clear - Mids that will sound good on all music genres - Mids with "sub-like" Bass!! ** I'm not putting a system in my car for a while... so for now, I want some components that will put out a good amount of bass without powering them off an Amp. Thanks fellas, the inputs are appreciated! Quote 06 SCION tC

reinke
the cadence CVL series are good. they are not the cheapest ones out there though Quote ----reference's---- meade916
ISO
I use Morel in my home speakers. There 5 inch mid/mid bass woofers crossed over at 75 hertz 12 DB and sound great when I have to unhook my woofers when theres company in the house. So I figure the Morel car audio should be as equally impressive. Quote Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one. ISO
I don't think you can find a good mid with great bass response and top end for cheap. If I wanted to I could Port my 5 inch Morels. ChevyBoy
the hertz "hi energy" sounded great in my truck with only half the power on them. i wish i couldve thrown the extra 60-70 watts at them. crisp clear highs and really warm sounding mid bass
ChevyBoy
and another thing, if you plan on getting components, you better get an amp. no components sound good with 18 watts going to them. you will clip the hell out of them. so be prepared unless you want some coaxials.
