Bills Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 i'm doing my build right now and all i need to do is buy/order my amps. I was set on the Hifonics BXi 1206 and run it at 1 ohm for 1200 watts per woofer. i'd be getting two of them. haha I"m on sonicelectronix.com and i happen to look at the Crunch Ground Pounders amps and i found the GP1500 for cheeper than the Hifonics amp. is it a good choice to go with because i'll be saving money and getting more power. and will my DC lvl 4's be able to take that much power? thanks for the help. EricM9104 Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 The GP1500D would only do 562.5w RMS @ 1 ohm at 12.5v, providing it's 75% efficient. Both the Crunch and HiFonics amp are over-rated. Get one Crunch GP3000D and run it on two DC Level 4's with lvl5 coils. Quote 2015 Honda Civic LX 4dr | 110k miles | Stock 1996 GMC Yukon SLT 4dr 4wd | 260k miles | JVC Head-unit

EricM9104 Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Get two HiFonics BXi1608D amps then. Should do around 1300w RMS at 1 ohm and at 12.5v, providing it's 75% efficient. Quote 2015 Honda Civic LX 4dr | 110k miles | Stock 1996 GMC Yukon SLT 4dr 4wd | 260k miles | JVC Head-unit
