Noobtastic14
no in-line fuse???? FAIL i will be fusing everything when i re-do my wiring. burnt a 16ga power wire for my lights and it was all bad. the fuses on your amp will not help with that the fuse on your power wire should have blown. -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. moh.vze.com
Check his sig.Reading > you -Drew Hmm. I totally forgot I had signatures and images stuff disabled on my account (I felt awkward with boobies showing up here and there when I was browsing the forum at school). jizzybizzy
How many watts were you running? 1500 watts... but i doubt it was even close to that... i had the gain set to like 8 oclock (when the starting position is at 5) i still dont know why that shit caught fire... the inline fuse isnt blown... i checked that... its still intact... but after rewiring everything and putting in a different amp (just to tone it down a bit until i get the 4g wiring) the power light comes on at first .. then flickers alternately with the protection light. and i dunno why. ALPINE408
lol fues are for pussies!!!!!!!! lol im just playing i dont use fuse's (db drager status) your current draw is to much for the wire you are using try big 3 upgrade and bigger wire if that dont work you need a second batt ..... a cap will do nothing! meade916
when they say "inline fuse" that isnt the same as an "onboard fuse" for the amp. They are referring to the fuse that SHOULD be within 12" or so from the battery. That fuse should have blown if there was one before that wire melted. you are EXTREMELY lucky that flame went out and you still have a car Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel!
