Some help with subwoofer box design Rockford P3D2-10

Hello!

recently got my hands on two Rockford Fosgate P3D2-10 Subwoofers and now I need to design a box for it.Thing is I have only used and built ported enclosures for 12" drivers, and now I have 2 10" drivers.

I`m little confused by the included manual, since it recommends 40hz for the port, which i think is little too much (I`m not sure at what HZ should 10 inch drivers run at since they are ,well the first ones that I want to run in a ported box). Also it recommends 40L for one sub (Which is fine, but i can`t seem to get under 100 Liters of total internal volume according to Subbox.pro)

As far as what music do I listen, I blast everything from: Dnb, Rap, rock, punk and sometimes other types of stuff. I like to dig deep bass, but I also want to have some punchy bass and kicks.

 

Maybe someone has some experience with those drivers or some general recommendations when designing a box that can help me out?

If listening to rap and such go for a 35Hz tuning or less, if you want fast bass avoid building a larger than recommended box, keep it average to slightly tight. Ideally modeling software can help you find a good balance for a specific sub.
