my head is spinning, subs for a 2010 single cab ranger, help please!

So trying to finalize a build, overwhelmed with subwoofer options,
Market is so saturated which overwhelming sub options & doesnt help make my decision,
Behind the seat of a 2010 single / standard cab ranger.
Thinking 2 10's in a sealed box vs 1 12....
So here's what's in my head...
jl tw3
Hertz MPS250
DD sl610
SI bm-11
Audison aps 10 s4s
or just budget it & go CT Hydro or Skarr???....
The shop doing the install is rambling how he feels the Audison aps 10 s4s is the most under-rated sub I its class....
He carries Audison & Hertz but can get & will install anything.
Me looking at #'s the Hertz MPS has higher xmax & db #s than the audison aps...
I even asked him the question how the Audison aps compares to the hertz mps & for the moment he's stating the Audison will outperform the Hertz MPS.
Im not seeing it but im novice when it come to understanding specs & what it all means.

Only other system my kid has heard was my single JL 12" TW3 in my 4 door tacoma 
Think he likes the lows but really hasn't heard any intense tight bass as 1 single 12 doesnt do a whole lot of that....

So please, help me make sense of these options & any other suggestions.
I have a Recoil Red1800.5 amp so does 900 watts at 2ohm / 1200 at 1 ohm stable for just the sub chanel

One of these subs or a different sub im sure is a clear better option when it come to the die-hards giving advice.

Also bought cdt hd-62 2 ways for the front doors.
Will most likely not utilize the mid speaker locations behind the seat in the plastics for fill.
Will probably cut that out of the plastics to optimize rear seat space for an enclosure.

I sound deadened inner & outer doors, door panels,  back cab wall & 12" out from the cab wall floor.
Insight, suggestions, thanks...

Im truly all over the place as so many shallow options, one must be hands down better....

Or they all sound the same & I should just cheap out & get some CT Sound Hydros?

I dont mind spending the money but always good to stretch it...

 

 Limited space behind the seat im stuck going shallows so dont lose seating position.

I even think I can get 2 12's back there & would imagine the amp can handle it but would it be overkill / dumb to install 2 12's in a single cab ranger?

Not looking to shake the truck apart, this will be his daily driver at 16.....

Just trying to introduce him to the addictions I had as a kid & still do.

So much has changed, options, & doesnt help making a decision as what ever one choses you want it to sound the best comparing it to all your other options in that price point.

Is there a shallow sub that you guys have used you feel is a step ahead....?

Shallow mount subs, regardless of who makes them suck. IMHO.

Not entirely true, they've gotten better....

As stated, single cab ranger & hoping to not lose seat position.....

I have a single JL 12 TW3 in a 4 door tacoma / underseat powered by a ARC Audio Blackbird 800 watts, does pretty good for what it is....

 

I get it, some feel a standard size sub would sound better, ok, so be it........

 

Just hard pulling the trigger on a shallow sub not being able to demo some of these options & really not having a ton of first hand experience / knowledge of any of these options....

 

Was hoping for more traction / advice here....

Not many shallow mount subs are being used by the majority of folks in this forum... Best bet for hearing how they sound, stop by a local shop or another retailer that has a sound-wall setup.
