Need help have 2024 trd offload hybrid

Hello I have a 2024 Toyota Tacoma trd or with iforce max hybrid engine. Is there a possibility of adding an alternator to my engine. The jbl sound is lacking. Want to eventually do major upgrades .anyone up for the challenge. I have ideas for truck in head just need help getting it to the physical thanks

No you can't install an alternator in a hybrid vehicle, even if you somehow made it work, remember that the mechanical engine is not running all the time so how would you make sure your battery or batteries remain properly charged?

 

What you could likely do is use high voltage power input amps like they are used in pure electrical vehicles such as the Taramps HV series to connect to your main battery. That would need to be done by a pro for selection of the amp, installation and to set the recommended maximum current draw to that main battery to avoid vehicle malfunction.

 

Installing yourself could result in vehicle exploding or getting burn down so have that in mind.

Run a lithium batt in the back just for the stereo system and charge off the alt under the truck so it is completely seperate from the trucks electrical ...

the problem with doing that is you are only spinning the alt while the car is moving. so, if you are sitting still and jamming on the stereo, it would basically be like the car was shut off. still going to be draining the batteries.

The high current battery in your truck should have plenty of output for your 12v-16v audio equipment etc.

You might just want to add a gel-cell or lithium power cell for your aftermarket stereo and accessories.

Don't add mechanical devices like alternators or stators to electric vehicles, you'll have inducted noise and ground loop problems just to get started, other more serious complications are possible/likely.

I dont just park and pound lol but i have a Prv 120 amp power supply mounted in my truck for tuning ect... Which is perfect holds 14.4 driveway bumping .. I dont full tilt while on plugged up its neighbor hood friendly lol .. I assume the OP would be riding in his daily driver while bumping of your burning gas you might as well be riding IMO ... He asked for a solution so i gave him one 🤷
