Weight: Birch Vs Mdf

does birch really weigh that much less than mdf? with gas prices the way they are i want to rebuild my box out of birch so its a little bit lighter but im not sure how much lighter it will be than my mdf box already is. chime in if you have some experience with birch.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

Real birch doesnt come in 4x8 sheets 4x4 sheets and around $40 here

Real birch does come in 4x8 sheets as well as 5x10 and 5x5.

You can get the cheap stuff at HD or lowes for around 45 bucks a sheet

Birch is much better imo. Once you use birch you probably won't go back to mdf.

Really I need to find a place around here that sells it in those sizes I was told that it only comes in 4x4 and 5x5 those mutha fuckas lol

Hugh's hardwoods, Higgins lumber, Pacific States Lumber.

Ask a good cabinet maker where they get their wood. It will most likely be wholesale, but some will let you open an account.

Ok there is a cabinet shop about 20 minutes from my house I have to go there in a few weeks to pick up the cabinets im having made for our guest house. What do they charge around you for a 4x8 sheets im going to see if he can get me a a few sheets when i go to pick them up
