Decaf Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 im curious what sub i should get to replace my q long story short its all going to be sold (re 12.1 and 15q w/bp) so.... the re 12.1 is going to be replaced by a sundown1500d... what 15" will get louder than the q w/same or near equivalent sq *** trash, nightshade, loaded bl, audioque hdc3, aa havoc, re mx, lvl4, revo in 3-4cuft ported... tuned to 30hz since my car peaks so low (34+35hz)... tl #'s in sig max $500 to spend im looking to do 146-7+ at the kick at 35hz

EricR Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 mx or nightshade i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
AI James Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 im strictly going off of specs but i dont see a nightshade sounding better. louder yea definitely though yea a mx for 500 may be hard to come by the trash you will have to get used as they are out of stock til august. hdc3 will be louder and not as great sounding imo. level 4 DC are louder and sound better then a Q imo as well and would be find on a sundown 1500d
