i didnt even know this thread exsisted...

but i like to fish pretty much anything that bites. i live 3 blocks from the marina so sea fishing is close. but i perfer lake fishing then sea fishing. i just like to head out to the lake, nice calm water in the morning, and cast some lines out. :)

so ill be at lake cachuma in santa barbara county this weekend and gonna be fishing for bass cause that is what is in season there. this is what i got from the fishing report

"if you are fishing for female bass go with plastics and really slow your presentation and stay around the spawning beds."

if anyone cares to chime in, what plastics would you recommend?

edit: they are smallmouth BTW

double edit: when i researched small mouth bass, the crawfish and the senko came up multiple times... might give these lures a try

In Ocean City MD 2 records were just broken in a fishing tourney. one person caught a 93.5 lb white marlin and got a 1 million dollar check

and someone caught a 1,062 lb blue marlin and won close to 500 grand.

damn i wish i could do that....
