Too many things ive spent alot of money on something, used it only like a month or so and found something better for the same price. Yeah well people have given you some great options only thing left to do is do some research on your own. deafyT Posted June 27, 2008 Report Share Posted June 27, 2008 Well, im talking about just subs as far as sq(as in low-no distortion), not an entire 'kit' of speakers and subs. Also, does the weight effect how it plays lows? Something light, handles alot of power(spl), has little to no distortion(sq),..... if it has a heavy cone it will naturally want to play lower. paper cones are light, they sound 'snappy' and they'll play every note. heavy cones are too slow to pick up all those notes like a paper cone. the actual weight of the basket and motor has little/no effect on how it plays the lows unless you're taking the bl (strength of the motor) into consideration. if the XXX was on your list, look into the MX.
