Boon Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 First thing I would do is figure out why your old amp smoked... "The yellowtop did something to it" - What, powered it? What can a battery really do to an amp... 10.x volts fo' life!

Duece22 Posted August 8, 2008 Author Report Posted August 8, 2008 I found the AudioQue amps. But the Aq2200 is alot less power then what the subs could take? Im tryna get atleast 1.5k watts on each. I emailed Powerbass for a list of dealers. Hopefully i can get the XA3000d 2008 Hummer H3 x2 Sundown Audio Nightshade V2 12s x1 Sundown Audio 3000D

wL<3bass Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Finally got some money to get my amps for the 15's. Still debating tho. Would two of these amps be good for pushing each 15. Thats a Crunch GP1500D. I believe rated at around 1.5k watts rms at 1ohm. No that amp wont work.....its only 750wrms.....How hard is to find an amp that does 3krms? Honestly....by good stuff the first time then being junk running it for a month or two burning up and having to by more? If your a cheap person and can sacrifice some quality get a Crunch GP3000D-Pro Other GOOD choices would be: Sundown SAZ-3000D $740 shipped Rockford Fosgate T3000.1bd $600+shipping Atomic 3000.1 $480 + shipping Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4 Exterior: Rear End Bagged, Black Grill, Lifted 2" Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate T8004 & T10001bd Batteries: 2 Stinger SPV35, Kinetik HC2400 Electrical: Big 3, DC Power 290amp Alternator w/ MLA at 15.5v Enclosure: 4.2 ft³ @ 33Hz 84sq.in. of port (20sq.in. per cube) Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors) Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded Wire: All 1/0g Kicker Hyperflex My YouTube Videos My Fiberglass A-Pillar Build My "Seamless" Looking Box Build My DD1508 T-Line Bandpass Build "Seamless" w/ Acrylic Windows (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Stealth 8" Fiberglass Build (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Build For A Friend's '08 Cobalt 15" BL Sealed Off From The Trunk My feedback/references...
wL<3bass Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Oh yeah and one more thing your not gonna run any of the amps mentioned off of a stock electric system...or just an optima yellow top in the back your gonna need bigger batteries or alot of yellow tops....you would need a HO alt but alot of batteries would suffice but I would just get a good alt and 1-2 kinetik hc2400 or 1 powermaster d3100.
