is that better... when i was at best buy I installed one of these with 2 off brand subs, and it hit kinda of hard. It will get you enough bass i believe

A blow through box(cutting the cab) is a pain to do. I've had a friend do one before and he could never get it to stop leaking. Ray may say different. I belive he has alot of experance with your type trucks

This in an '06 2500HD quad cab duramax diesel..yet to be finished.

ZERO SPACE!

amps are:

KAC 8152D SUBS

KAC 8452 Mids (4chann)

shit,  I could prolly fill behind the seat and under the seat with 8's,  but are they gunna give me the low end of 2 12's?  realistically?

also,  I've seen those "universal"  style boxes that hold 2 10's that go behind seat.  Could I just make a box similar to that,  that would fit truck better, and get some decent sound?  I actuall was thinkin about making an "L" shaped box, that would go from under seat, to behind the seat.  Mount the 10's (?) behind seat, and have ports come out under seat?  sound like that would work?

Yea I agree w/ the L7 8's I actually have 3 of em to replace those 2 8's in the truck once the weather's better and finals are over.

Nice work as usual RAY.

Any ##'s on the truck just as reference of how loud it could be w/ 8's done right?

So I did some measureing,  and it looks like I have about 8 inches in height,  but I guess I could allways space the seat bracket up an inch if need be.  Also looks like about 12 inches deep, and I;m pretty sure I can go all the was across seat,  but will have to remove a small bracket under middle of seat, and the box will have to arch (?) up over the middle floor hump.  I have some old, ok don't laugh, crunch fatboy 10"drive series subs layin around and they are 6 1/2 inches total, from floor to top edge of woofer.  Maybe I can fit a 10 on each side, facing down, with the sub about 1 inch off floor?  or is that not enough distance.  I'll try to get measuremeant of total box area tommarrow.

Also,  thanks for all the help so far!
