Recommended Posts

i have a old ass hard drive with some bent pins and broken contacts were the pc cable goes. Is it posible to pull the insides out and put it in another hard drive? If so does any one have one that will work laying around or know were i can get one. Its a ibm deskstar model IC35L120AVV207-0 I just want to pull every thing off of the hard drive and put it on another one.

very good question!

I would think as long as you have matching brand/size drives it would work.

I got a 250gig seagate sitting here with 1 broken pin, got so much music on that drive its not even funny :(

I was curious about buying a matching junk drive and just swap the boards with the ribbon clip thingy.

i broke one of the brass pins off in side the damn thing now its stuck in there. Oh well its to late to work on it now ill dick with it tomorrow.

I almost had it working earlier but then the pc wouldn't boot up. It asked for a boot disc and tried to boot from the dvd drive :(
