Amp(s) for the BTLs...Help me pick

Recommended Posts

I'm been looking up amps to run for the BTLs and I haven't been able to come to a decision. My choice would be two T4000.1s (RF) but I doubt I will have enough funds for them so im forced to settle for some thing cheaper :V

I can either do one amp per sub or one amp for two subs.

Subs are DVC .7

I was looking at putting one of the new PA SL5500D amps which claim to do 4200rms @ 1ohm... So thats good for me atleast im giving 3,000rms to each sub.

If it's one amp per sub im looking for some thing around $600 or less (of course).

If it's one big mono block amp no more than $1,000 ($1,000 is pushing it).

I want the subs to atleast get 2500rms each.

Help me out guys.

my vote goes for the IA40.1...thinks its 3600watts, [glow=red,2,300]but u can go lower than one ohm with them[/glow]....

Ehh really don't feel like messing around going lower than 1ohm if the amp wasn't made to do so.

Aren't the IA40.1s running for over $1,000?

Since u say $600 a piece if u do a amp per sub...then Id get 4-T20001BDs u can get em for about $700 ....dat aint but $400 more than what u talked about and u can get about 2800rms out of em. Or just spring and get the 2 T4Ks....they usually run about 1300 on ebay but I think u would get more power out of the 4-T2Ks
